Care Managers
Karen Darrin RN. CCM.CMC
Karen has been a Registered Nurse since 1971. During her career, she has had a diverse work experience in Critical Care, Home Health and Case Management. During the last 10 years, her main focus has been working in the community, specializing in care and resources for the older or disabled adult. She has advanced training in assessing the frail aging population and memory impaired adult. She recently became an “Excellence In Care Specialist” thru the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Karen has provided group presentations related to the functional assessments for Medicaid eligibility and provided discussions on “Hiring a Private Caregiver”.
Karen founded Care Solutions in 2000 and continues to work full time in the role as a Professional Care Manager. She has been certified as a RN Case Manager (CCM) and RN Care Manager (CMC) since 2000. She maintains current credentialing for appointments as a guardian ad litem for guardianship proceedings related to vulnerable adults in Pierce and King County and recently became certified as a professional guardian. Karen always adds the personal approach, expertise and advocacy to provide an important advantage for balancing the special needs of all of her families.
Kendra Gunhold, MSW, CMC
Kendra received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from the University of Montana. She began her social work career in women’s health care and working with adolescents. Kendra has been working with the geriatric population since 1992. She worked as the Director of Social Services in two long-term facilities in the Seattle area. Kendra then relocated to Southern California and received her Master of Social Work with a concentration in Health from the University of Southern California. Kendra has worked in acute care as a hospital social worker, and in home health, home care and in hospice. She has been a geriatric care manager since 1997 and is certified as a geriatric care manager with the National Association of Geriatric Care Managers.
Kendra is also a guardian ad litem in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties.
Kendra lives in Bothell, WA with her husband, Ryan, and their two daughters, Abigail and Lillian.
