The review of the “plan for aging” should include decisions on who will act as the surrogate decision maker for finances (Durable Power of Attorney for Finances) and health care (Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care).
If there is no one to act in the behalf of the older adult Karen Darrin RN, CCM,CMC a certified professional guardian is available to act in the capacity of Power of Attorney for Health Care and Finances. Services could include one or both.
We also provide assistance with those out of state families wanting a local advocate to provide reliable guidance to handle the onsite issues their family member is experiencing. This may include assistance with ensuring the bills are paid and sent in a timely manner and banking is being handled successfully.
Services Include:
- Family education regarding Guardianship
- Guardian of person and/or estate: (DDD adults or older adult.)
- Durable Power of Attorney for Person or Estate (one or both)
- Fiduciary services
- Guardian ad litem for Pierce and King County
